characteristics of the urban nature solar panels
our system uses FLAT PLATE SOLAR PANELS also known as SOLAR COLLECTORS

WHAT YOU CAN SEE OF THE SOLAR PANEL

∗ solar panel is fabricated of lightweight metal, sturdy in design, fire resistant and weatherproof.

∗ these solar panels retain there shape and strength during repeated thermal expansion and contraction, while being exposed to the weather, wind, rain, hail, freezing temperatures and ultraviolet radiation.

∗ Flow and Return pipe connections, with heated liquid inside flows to and from the hot water storage tank.

∗ triple wall translucent glazing cover is 200 times stronger than ordinary glass and is designed to withstand heavy snow and hail storms as well as ultraviolet radiation.

∗ this glazing absorbs as little energy as possible, especially infrared radiation, it reflects and is transparent at various wavelengths with heat retention.

∗ it is lightweight and very durable under attack from vandals or birds.

∗ One continuous piece of EPDM black marine grade glazing seal. This material has excellent weather and heat resistant properties.

INSIDE THE SOLAR PANEL

∗it is insulated with 100% recycled plastic bottles with a high R value of 5.

∗ All the insulating materials inside withstands temperatures well in excess of 220°F so that the panel can withstand exposure to direct summer sunlight with no thermal load, a condition referred to as stagnation.

∗ copper piping carries the heated exchange fluid (antifreeze) which travels in a Serpentine S shaped pattern between the absorber plate and translucent glazing cover.

∗ a dark absorber plate which absorb radiant heat from the sky, conducts this heat to be used for heating the antifreeze which circulates to the water storage tank.
